unhealthy obsession

black velvet isn't the most practical material, but i can't help staring at this margaret howell label jacket.

  1. I LOVE Margaret Howell. Beautiful stuff in its simplicity, and so well-made. Wish I could fit it into my budget right now...
So, I guess I share your unhealthy obsession! I do have a rich brown velvet jacket from a few seasons ago (not MH), so I guess I'll have to content myself with that for now.

  2. There's something about velvet jackets, especially ones that look as soft as the MH one. Well, no matter how badly I want to make it happen, I guess I'll just have to pine for it from afar.

  3. I love MH too and as I was clicking through to your site I was thinking of velvet blazers. I love them, and I think they look great day or night, casual and dressed up. And I actually don't think it's too impractical. I have a floppy velvet jacket and it's always retained its bought look.

  4. I love MH and LOVE velvet jackets! I have a few that I've thrifted over the years that have been in constant rotation for the better part of my late-teens and 20s.
