I bought what I thought were the Mars boots on Yoox for $250, but they're a slightly different style with a double stacked sole. I am not sure about the sole, I've stepped on the lip a few times, and I have to admit I prefer the clean lines of the Mars.
What do you think??
They are nice. But, I think that if you prefer the clean lines of the Mars, then you should just hold out for them.

ReplyDeleteI must say that I like them much more than I thought I would. They are cool, different, and kind of architectural. But if you don't feel comfortable then it is irrelevant!

i think i'll hold off on ankle boots for now and try my luck on ebay or LoGE. i just ordered my top and skirt from j.crew. i went with the petite size, which should be 2 inches shorter. hopefully i can wear flats and not look too stumpy!
ReplyDeletei agree, i'd wait for the mars. for that much money you don't want to think down the line "well, i like these except X" which often happens to me over and over again. with that said, i really like everything else about them, the leather looks really soft.

Deletealso, have you seen the samantha pleet arc boots? i have a pair of her blixens, and they are VERY comfortable. she made a black version of the arc and they are more reasonably priced than comey's shoes. check out myrtle's website. i am thinking about the turquoise pair.
