| My last day at the office is on Wednesday. I'm teaching a twelve week course over the summer, which requires a nomadic existence. I'm at a point in my life where I'm ok with the idea of showing up to a lecture wearing a jumpsuit. Who's with me? |

Yes! Jumpsuits all the way!!
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan. Difficult to manage in the bathroom and they have a tendency to exaggerate figure flaws (magnifying thighs while lengthening torsos and legs).
ReplyDeleteI always think dresses are the easiest option, especially in the summer. One piece and no fuss.
I'm with Moya. Never been a fan, prefer dresses or skirts in warmer weather.
ReplyDeleteMy torso is too long for jumpsuits...bad things happen. :p
ReplyDeleteI wish jumpsuits looked good on me. I'm a shortlisted hourglass, though, so they definitely don't.....
ReplyDeleteSkirts and dresses are probably more flattering, but maybe I could both teach and watch the kids at the park in a jumpsuit?
ReplyDeleteI figure they're a fancier version of the overalls I live in during the summer.
If they work with your body type. My thoughts are they just don't work on most of us and there is the bathroom problem. I think they also restrict mobility which is why I've sold every jumpsuit I've owned without wearing them. Love the idea in theory but in practice--like playsuits--they just don't seem to work.
ReplyDeleteI am obsessed with them. I want one so badly but with my growing belly I think fit will be an issue. But that probably won't stop me.
ReplyDeleteI think jumpsuits are very much jolie-laide. My Steven Alan overalls were indispensable during my pregnancy, but the bathroom problem is always an issue (especially if your little ones insist on being held at all times).
ReplyDeleteSince I had kids, I've become so accustomed to pants and shorts at the playground that skirts and dresses with leggings feel overly restrictive to me. I even find it difficult to teach in a skirt these days.
Totally with you and I've wondered if I can lecture in them...
