toast aw 08-09

two things:
sorely tempted to bob my hair, even though i know from experience that i'll look terrible
dark navy blue oxfords, low cut on the sides, super gorgeous. but every time i do that pound-dollar conversion, my heart stops. $270 isn't 'that' bad, is it? but for blue oxfords? sigh.

  1. My 4 year old has a bob and I want one too. My 14 year old, this past weekend, told me she wanted a short haircut. I took her out right away! Its short and so super cute, though she's nervous about starting HS next week with the short hair.

  2. your 4 year old is indeed adorable with her bob! i love super short hair, but find that mine is more manageable long.

  4. I keep wanting to bob my hair too, but then I remind myself it's taken five years to grow mine long...

  5. exactly!

i seem to go in 5-6 year cycles of growing it out and then chopping it off. i wish i could make up my mind.

  6. I love those shoes! love love love!

I think it's the laces with the blue leather.

I wish I could have bobbed hair. Dang curls! But I think if you got the right cut, Erica, it would look adorable ...

  7. stephanie-
i think i need to talk to my stylist. maybe she'll figure out a way to pull it off.

one of the side effects, alas, has been hair loss. it usually happens post-delivery, but for some reason it started earlier with me.

just another reason why i'm contemplating cutting my hair off.

  8. oh my goodness! when i saw those shoes i thought of you and how i wanted to convince you to buy them. they are so perfect, erica. $270 is not that bad. and you should buy other stuff from them to to make the shipping price worth it. in fact, maybe we should place an order together and split the shipping.

  9. oh, by the way, congratulations on your pregnancy, you sly girl! i'm way behind with that info since i've been totally absorbed with my fall collection. but elly told me last night when we were talking on the phone. isn't it funny how we gossip about people we've never even met in person? but anyways, i'm so happy for you!

  10. hey jenny, i'm glad to see you're surviving in spite of all that work! i am so in love with those oxfords. i don't know what to do...

  11. i bobbed my hair myself last month. spontaneity and hair go hand in hand for me. love love love it. it's a short short sharp bob with bangs - you can see it on upanddowntown.blogspot.com... sort of. ;) i decided to go with a cut i liked rather than a cut that liked me. i just wanted that cut. i feel very satisfied. once you get the urge, it's hard not to act on it. and i do the same as you, go through cycles of growth and chop.

  15. any hair photos would be great! my hair is borderline wavy, so i was thinking something less structured. otherwise i would have to spend lots of time styling it.

  16. my hair is plain old wavy, but i found that when it's cut like this, it behaves awfully well. i have had (and loved) cuts that showed the wave. for now, i'm enjoying something more sleek.
ps zero styling time (i shower at night, air dry, go to sleep. wake up with flat hair - in a good way).
okay, i'll send some pictures now.
