i wasn't able to go to the steven alan sample sale last week, but
a dear friend ameliorated the situation with a heddy shirt (and a book of fiendishly good stories...and a cashmere sweater...did i mention how awesome she is?).
it seems
a lot of people are feeling the trench love. hopefully the weather will be mild enough that i can wear mine to the sale since it's roomy enough for both me and leon.

I'm glad I could be of assistance - that shirt looks GREAT on you.
The weather is supposed to be mild here, so maybe the trench will star on the travel team.
Sidenote: The clog boots continue to rock. Dang.
Wow--the Heddy looks great on you. Which cashmere sweater did you get? I also love the trench.
stephanie--
this isn't going to be the last time i say this, but 'Get The Boots!'
moya--
it was a park vogel henley that belonged to stephanie originally. nothing like a cashmere hand me down!
you two... so cute.
that shirt looks like it was made for you. you look beautiful in it. and seriously, stop posting pictures of these boots. i want them soooo bad when i see them on you. no, i take it back, don't stop.
okay, i'm getting really excited to see you and leon in december!
The shirt is fabulous on you -- I went to the sale, too, with a friend and didn't see it but got a couple of reverse seams and a couple of cashmere sweaters...I also second or third how great those No. 6's are on you!
The trench -- it has to be in the air, I've been looking for one for a year. Is it a vintage or secondhand score or a new one? Looks great!
!!! oh erica the stylish one! (went to the opera the other day...mind you a contemporary one & one of the singers was wearing a gorgeous trench....i admit, my mind wondered for a second..i think i need to get one as well!).
and leon is looking slick as usual!
oh wow. i have been coveting the heddy shirt for a while and either it was sold out or I couldn't justify its price. it looks smashing!
the trench looks great on you! :) is that a new purchase or an old favorite?
the fickle temperatures in nyc are perfect for me to bring out my apc trench. it's surprisingly warm when layered with a little sweater underneath.
Love the entire outfit! and the Heddy shirt looks great on you (now I regret not getting it during the Gilt sale . . . sigh). Happy thanksgiving and I always love your updates!
the trench is a few years old, a lovely gift from my mom who often furnishes my wardrobe with classic staples...
i hope the mild weather holds, it's been up and down here in boston. i dread the coming cold.
hi! i just stumbled across your blog & love your style. :) btw, did you need to size down for the heddy compared to your normal reverse seam shirt size? i'm trying to figure out what size to get. thanks!
i think the heddy runs true to size, mine is a small. the medium was much too big on me, although sometimes i wear a medium in reverse seams.
thanks for your help!
