penelope's sale

sven shearling clog boot, $288, 37, 38, 39, 40. go up one full size. sven makes the no. 6 boots, also. this version is 11" versus the 15" no. 6, and it looks like the shaft is a little wider. i'm saving up for a pair of the no. 6 because i prefer the narrower shaft and the aviator brown color.

a.p.c. black knitted mini, $98, xs-l. i wore this skirt throughout my pregnancy last year. it was so comfortable and warm. fits true to size, even a little big. i wore a small because it's so stretchy.

thanks for the links, especially the apc skirt. been wanting one so bad i was almost ready for the trial-and-error of knitting my own. but i'd much prefer to buy.

Mmm, yes, I heart Penelope's. I bought a Sessun peacoat from them that I just love to death. I like the winter dodd, but there are so many great choices.

I've seen those Svens. They are pretty nice. The tall No. 6s are ve-ry narrow ... I tried a pair and was kind of bummed that they weren't more roomy.

love that skirt, does it have an elastic waistband or is it just knit?

if the skirt is like mine, it has a knit waistband. very stretchy and comfortable!

I have this skirt, and I'm afraid it's not quite the same as your perfect (to me) pregnancy one -- this is more of a pencil shape, where it looked like yours had a little bit of an a-line. The waistband is as advertised, though!

thanks for chiming in, redfox!

sara,
i saw those brogues, along with the light oxford, but with my track record, i'm better off not ordering a pair of shoes from overseas without knowing my size. and the dollar stinks, as usual!
