Love love love. I'm on a shopping ban right now, but if I wasn't I'd buy this peach number.

girl just go thrifting, seriously. none of the details on that blouse seem new, and if what you find isn't quite right, you'll have money left over for the tailor and then some :)

thanks for the advice, ingrid. if you have any recommendations for a tailor in the boston area, i'd love to hear them. i've been disappointed several times by small and major alteration jobs done by different tailors here.

You would have to be a lucky thrifter indeed to find something that matches Vain and Vapid's craftsmanship - I have a dress she made and it is exquisite.

I love this blouse - every detail is just right.

I think the shirt is adorable, and it's silk. I personally think the price is darn reasonable, but then I know the work that goes into a shirt, and V&V's looks beautifully crafted indeed.

Just saw this lovely shirt in my inbox when I got home, and just when I said I was trying to shrink the number of things in my closet :p I'm such a fan of the quilted shoulder yoke, and I love how it looks tucked in with pants! Trying so hard to resist....

I have to second the praise for V and V's craftsmanship. Every stripe in my dress is perfectly lined up and she makes exquisite clothes. I think her prices are extremely reasonable--in NYC at least, a tailor and a vintage shirt would likely cost more.
