moving day

finally, a place we can actually make into a home. it is such a relief to be out of an apartment where everything is falling apart and filthy. it's nice to no longer have 13 people living above and below you in a rickety house where every floorboard creaks and band practice lasts until 5 am. i can't believe how big this place is, we've never had so much space before.

now if only i could find a good hairdresser, tailor, cobbler, and facialist. any recommendations?

hello, a ghost reader leaving a comment for the first time
I used to live in Toronto. Here are some recommendations
College Shoe Repair services at 777 Bay St is reliable and priced fairly (it is located behind the post office). One at Eaton Center (don't remember the name but it is next to the TTC station) seems to be popular (location I think) but really expensive. I also heard good things about Shoe Therapy at 1108 Bay St.

Your new place looks so nice, Erica! I'm glad you're all safely moved in.
As for recommendations, I get my hair done by Katrina at The Proudest Pony, she's great. Shoe Therapy at 1108 Bay St. (as mentioned by the commenter above) has done great work for me, they're also honest enough to let me know when things can't be done.

oh good! I'm so glad to hear you're settled in and the new place is working out well! it must have been pretty annoying in the previous situation - all that would drive me nuts.

i wish i had recommendations to give you! sadly i still wouldn't be able to give you any for boston, haha! i still haven't found any. :p

I recommend Donna at Coupe Bizarre. She used to cut my wavy Asian hair and she convinced me to get bangs 8 years ago.
