Snow in April

Ilana Kohn Blue Flowers Jersey Tee Dress

Maryam Nassir Zadeh skirt

Lauren Manoogian Shawl cardigan
Let's ignore the snow on the ground and focus on spring. My summer is turning out to be more work and less play, but I'm hoping to get some time in the sandbox as well.

It's funny, but I've spent the past few years running away from skirts, but Michelle makes it look effortless. I'm also obsessed with Ilana's blue flower print, with its Marimekko cheerfulness.

I am IN LOVE with that Laureen Manoogian cardigan. How many lesser versions of that have I owned over the years? (probably enough that I could have paid for the real deal several times over)

Yes, it's a hard lesson to learn when you realize you've spent $$ on many variations of the better product, but at the same time, how can we be absolutely certain that it's a classic investment piece?

I've had the opposite experience as well, and now that classic item is languishing in my closet...

I guess the saying is true,
Winter ain't over til Easter!
