rainbow plaids

steven alan tina shirt, $148
a.p.c. madras skirt, $90
a.p.c. madras dress, $120

a.p.c. madras low wedge sandals, $180
(i'm not sure if i love these, but i kind of do. any thoughts?)

oh, and speaking of striped tops (when am i not obsessed with them?), this is the a.p.c. madras sailor top for guys. i'm sure an XS would fit most of us, and it's only $60!

i too kind of love those shoes. i'm liking this year's madras collection! the colors are adorable. what do you think of the plaid blouse with the shoulder ties?

love that dress. wonder if i could pull it off without feeling like a school girl.

your striped shirts are waiting to be packed up and taken on the plane with me tomorrow!!

Love all these, including the shoes. I'm a huge fan of striped tops (wore them constantly through college), but I wonder if the men's one would be cut in a way that was unflattering--big waist and shoulders?

I wish they'd make one for women.

joyce-
i like the plaid top with the shoulder ties, but would probably want to try it on at the store.

sara-
have a safe trip, and let me know how much everything was. i'm so excited for the package!

moya-
the tops might work on women because apc mens tends to run narrow. it's strange that they didn't make a women's version, considering how much we love striped tops, too.

i hope you're doing well! the weekend is supposed to be lovely...

very cheery spring palette in all of these - and as for the wedges, i'm sure you could do some very creative styling with some tights and/or cuffed jeans, depending on what you choose to pair them with. the beigy-pink shoe is always a versatile and leg-elongating choice for this time of year...

i love the rainbow plaid shirt! it would look really cute on you. not much of a fan of the shoes. i like the front shot, but the side view looks a bit matronly. ooh another stripe shirt! i could use an extra one. i have the one from apc a few seasons ago, but it's pretty heavy for spring. thanks for the heads up!

I went to APC during lunch today, since their web site has been crashing. They have a women's version of the striped Madras top with a boatneck in blue/grey and yellow/grey for $60. I purchased the navy short overalls, which also come in a light caramel color.

I love the pretty plaid dress. Does anyone know how these size? I usually wear a 4 but XS? Unlikely.

Erica,
Funny, I just emailed you and asked you what you thought about madras shoes. I really like the ones you pictured. I have been wanting a sandal in that color with a bit of a heal. I think I may order them even if I don't know about the quality or fit.

thanks again!

I wasn't sure about the shoes because APC shoes/bags can be disappointing in person - but looking at them on the model on the website they look very cute.

p.s. I need a holdall and was thinking about the one that comes in violet or grey but can't decide - the violet looks sweet, but I'm not very sweet!

miss sophie-
i agree, that shade of beige would be very flattering.

stephanie-
i'm still trying to justify the SA shirt, maybe i should just stock up on striped shirts?

lsk-
thanks for the tip!

allison-
if you're a small 4, the xs might fit. i'm a 6 usually and wear a s in madras unless the shoulders are tight.

romaine-
i'm not sure of the quality, but i like them quite a bit...

claire-
i'm addicted to lighter shades of purple, so that's what i would go with. the grey is a bit sedate.

Ooh I love the Steven Alan shirt - we have it at my shop (which maybe I haven't told you about yet? Just opened in Toronto! http://robberstore.com) and I try it on every few days! And I think those APC sandals are super-cute too, definitely worth a try.

My 2 cents...
I pretty much love the entire Summer Madras collection. I think the sandals look cute and comfy.
I just wish A.P.C.'s regular line was available at the same prices as the Madras Collection!

ooh thanks! ps I just remembered I have an apc mens long sleeve T in xs and it fits fine, I think it's a bit longer than a woman's one would be but that's all. though I also just realised I've never once worn it.
