all of a sudden it's fall. my zizis are arriving today, which means i'm finally starting to think about how to wear them this season. i love the rachel comey penpal short boots, but i doubt they'll work with my wide, clumsy feet. this dress, however, with its sweet (but not too saccharine) floral print and clever details, would do quite nicely.

martha--how great that you bought the penpal boots! i hope you are enjoying them, i only wish my feet were more compliant.
alas they pushed the shipment back, so tomorrow they should be here. i hope i don't miss them, i'm almost tempted to stay home all day and wait!

I love the new Rachel Comey stuff, of course, but am holding out (I think) for a boucle jacket by Isabel Marant.
This is lovely--but, wow, Rachel Comey is getting more expensive.

I just wanted to report that today I am wearing that Lina Rennell dress with leggings and a cardigan and the combination is fantastic -- and would be great with shoes like your new ones. (I am wearing terribly schlubby worn Privo flats, instead, because they are comfy and I am lazy.)
