something's missing

i finally made cut-offs to wear with my mociun dress from last summer. but i still feel like something's missing from this outfit. maybe a necklace or two or three like this one from odette? i spend so much time focusing on the dress or sweater that i forget to accessorize. bags and jewelry (and sometimes shoes) are usually an afterthought.

I'm the same way about accessories, especially jewelry. I love them on other people, but often forget to wear them myself. And I think once you get used to not wearing jewelry it feels a little cumbersome to be wearing it. But oh how I want some new pieces...

Love that outfit on you just as it is, although those necklaces are pretty fantastic. Are those Bensimon shoes? How are you liking 'em? I've been eyeing the greyish lavender ones for at least a year.

the bensimons are cute and easy to slip on and off, but they offer zero support. i think i'm going to have to get a gel insole type thing because i'm planning on wearing them during my nyc trip.

melissa-
so true, it feels strange to wear jewelry. but then i see all these amazing necklaces and bracelets, and i can't help but wonder if i should go down that slipper slope anyway!

Looks pretty dang cute, but I vote for adding a necklace or scarf ... something super lightweight, in a pattern. Boo yeah.

love that mociun print. funny, i'm somewhat the opposite. sometimes i'm so focused on accessories and shiny things that i forget clothing... ha! kidding, kind of :)

sunglasses with a bone colored frame would make the color of your hair really pop and the dark shoes. i bought those same kind of shoes and need insoles too. but they sure are cute.

odette necklaces would look great with the dress.

Great looking outfit and jewelry. I try to always put on my earrings, and then I have one bracelet that I never take off!

I've been trying to accessorize more, but I'm the same way--I spend more time on the major parts of the outfit forgetting to add the little details. I like the necklace though.
