not-quite-spring

lauren moffatt crochet sweater
current/elliott stiletto jeans in tiny polka dots

FWK engineered garments for women, bedford jacket, at bow+arrow

yesterday it was in the mid 40s, but it's supposed to snow this weekend. i'm going to pretend it's almost spring and dress accordingly.

time to start thinking about layers in lighter fabrics and knits. this lauren moffatt crochet pullover in cotton would look so cheerful with the current/elliott polka-dotted jeans. i'm seriously obsessed with these jeans. i spent my morning walk to the office scheming ways to get them across the border for the least amount of money. i'm also starting to think i need a spring jacket that is polished enough to wear to class without sacrificing my love of casual comfort. i'd probably be better off getting the SA annette blazer in navy (on sale at conifer), but i know myself too well at this point.

Oh that sweater is so sweet. And those jeans too. Will they ship to you? I wish spring would come sooner - but the ground hog saw his shadow so what can you do? Haha.

AH! Erica, I spoke too soon, by one week. Literally mid-trip the stitching on one of the heels of my boots broke! wtf? It can be repaired easily, but still...

I was at SA annexe in Tribeca last week and the Annette Blazer fabric in the beige version was too soft/not structured enough to my taste. It is casual comfort yes just felt like it will not hold up to a toddler and a baby (my life too).

Oh jeez, I love that sweater. I can just see my 19-month-old loving on it too...to bad it doesn't come in a darker color. Those jeans are insane (in the best way).

I'm curious when you bought your No. 6 boots, Erica and Julia. Mine are from 2 or 3 years ago and are holding up great despite tons of wear. Wondering if they just disintegrate over time or whether the quality has recently decreased. Between this and the other post, this makes me think twice about buying another pair.

julia--
seriously, wtf??

aprovecharse-
i ordered direct from No. 6 2 or 3 years ago (can't remember). i don't think i will buy another pair of No. 6/Svens.

Mona--
good to know about the annette. this is why i love the cotton twill on the FWK. but it's a bit too much full-price...

heather--
and the kicker is that i don't think the crochet details would look as sweet or springlike on a darker color. i'm an obsessive spot-cleaner, but just the other day i found tomato sauce stains on my virginia johnson shawl. how did i miss that?!

i wish i could buy the jeans. i'm sure my mom could mail it to me if conifer or metier wouldn't, but i'm wary of ordering jeans that i can't try on (especially when i have a while before my body is back to normal).

I have been trying to track down a pair of those polka dot jeans in London and have finally buckled and bought them from Conifer. Thanks so much for the tip off! PS - as a devout clog-wearer, the only brand that can stand up to my pavement pounding is Troentorp (www.troentorpsclogs.com). They are indestructible.
