Shifting winds

Spring in Toronto is at its mercurial best these days. Last night we were treated to a long lightning show.

We're leaving for a week long visit to cambridge in two weeks. I can't wait to see friends and eat at my favorite places. I had been hoping to go shopping for new clothes and sandals, but to be honest, I'm not in the mood.

I was lucky to fit into my regular clothes at 4 weeks post-Leon, but this time around has really done a number on me. I'm feeling both humbled by the experience and anxious about wearing anything besides leggings.

So as much as I'd like a new pair of jeans or a simple summer dress (vanessa Bruno athe at anaise 'printemps' 20% off) I think I'll sit this season out.

Hope you have a wonderful vacation, Erica! Funny, we just had friends from Toronto come visit us! Hope you have a relaxing and rejuvenating time!

Don't panic if it takes a bit longer. I was kinda disappointed at like three months to still not fit in my old pants and was considering resizing my rings, now at almost 9 months my old skinny pants are literally falling down. I did nothing other than nursing but it just took time.

It definitely took longer for me to get back to normal with baby number 2...I think with the first you burn off so much in nervous energy right away :)
