this dress is now $88 at makie. i would say it fits true to size. i just tried on the 1 (S/M) and had room to spare in the waist and chest. The shoulders fits me perfectly, and there was enough wiggle room in the hips. it's very nautical and summery. i only wish the black was on sale, too!

hey! I'm about to order the navy blue, just wondering...since you've previous experience...do you perhaps know the length of the entire dress in the size 1? I am a shorty and sometimes loose fit dresses tend to eat me up when they're too long!

romaine called the store last week and according to them, the dress is 32 inches long.
i don't think it's too long at 5'4", it's about 3-4 inches above my knees. hope that helps!

i saw the derringer oxfords, but i'm too nervous to order them without trying them on! past experiences have made me a little gun-shy...

Erica, yes i did order them. if they don't fit or aren't comfy, at least i can return for store credit (though I hate all those to and from shipping charges when in the end it you get nothing).
well, if they're in an 8.5 or 9 and aren't working for you, there's at least one person here who would love to take them off your hands!
i don't know why, but store credit always ends with me spending even more money, so i think i'll pass unless they're marked down more!
