I LOVE Margaret Howell. Beautiful stuff in its simplicity, and so well-made. Wish I could fit it into my budget right now... So, I guess I share your unhealthy obsession! I do have a rich brown velvet jacket from a few seasons ago (not MH), so I guess I'll have to content myself with that for now.
There's something about velvet jackets, especially ones that look as soft as the MH one. Well, no matter how badly I want to make it happen, I guess I'll just have to pine for it from afar.
I love MH too and as I was clicking through to your site I was thinking of velvet blazers. I love them, and I think they look great day or night, casual and dressed up. And I actually don't think it's too impractical. I have a floppy velvet jacket and it's always retained its bought look.
I love MH and LOVE velvet jackets! I have a few that I've thrifted over the years that have been in constant rotation for the better part of my late-teens and 20s.
