isabel marant dress

does anyone have this isabel marant dress? i found a size 3 on ebay, but i'm not sure whether it runs large or small (i'm usually a 2). i nearly bought it at impulse's winter sale, but matthew thought it was too 'oregon hippie'. i went with a different isabel marant dress that i don't really love after all, so of course i've been keeping an eye out for this one.

UPDATE: i won it!! crossing my fingers, let's hope it fits. i've been super busy getting ready for teaching, but i'll post photos when the dress arrives. plus, i have a new skirt from martha of uniform studio that needs debuting.

Hi Erica! I have it and I would say it fits true to size or a bit small. I'm usually a 1 and I got a 1 but it is snug for layering, and a touch tight in the shoulders, so that said I think you could size up and not have it be a problem. My boyfriend hates this dress too! Oh well, can't please them all the time!

matthew needed to visualize it with a pair of red flats, or yellow strappy heels. or black men's shoes, or any color penny loafers. ooooooo, i like it!

stephanie--
now i remember that you have this, too. i think i might have to stalk this listing. it would be great if i could buy it!

oh, and yes, it's not like i was planning on wearing this dress with knee high socks and birkenstocks...it's not matthew's fault---he grew up near eugene. it can't be helped!

if you're anywhere near that in size, i'd get it. i feel like her stuff is generally open to some degree of interpretation (i have a coat that is, i think, a 1 and could fit people bigger and smaller with ease). i love that dress! love. was coveting it for awhile, but never saw my size on sale...

congratulations!
and your mention of uniform studio makes me think that a skirt (or dress, some other layer) would look really great peeking out underneath this dress!

i think its a fresh take on reinventing the denim dress. with softer versions like chambray coming back in more designers' lines lately i'm pretty inspired. great score!

GORGEOUS find -- I'm another one who thought of this dress and just waited too long. If for any reason you don't care for it, I'd gladly paid you your purchase price for it (but since fall is stealing up on us and it's perfect for layering, I doubt you'll have any problem...)
