craving color--new psling

orla kiely dress

i'm with anabela on this one...i can't get enough of purples with grey undertones. you know it's mid-february when all you crave is color.

my new psling arrived the other day. his due date is still 1.5 weeks from now, but i am so excited to try out this sling with him. it's an avant linen sling in the sumile colorway. thank goodness for sample sales, these slings certainly are pricey!

Yes! Everything I have purchased in the past little while has been mustard yellow, bright red, mauve, or robin's egg blue. I need colour back in my life so badly. Yet today I am wear black. Go figure.

Your dress is perfect, & I love the sling. I didn't even realize that it was a sling -- I thought it was a scarf. You could wear it around just like that, sans bebe!

And one more thing -- 1.5 weeks! My gosh!

You look so great--I love the sling and the dress. If I get pregnant, I would want to get one of the P-slings.

thanks all! oddly enough, i bought the dress years ago but never wore it until now. go figure.

i love the psling fabric so much that after the baby outgrows it, i'm thinking of turning it into a scarf or something just so i can keep the fabric. i thought the color might be too girlish, but matthew said he would sling the baby in it, too.

definitely wait for the sample sale, moya, especially since you live in nyc.

That is the raddest baby-toter ever. I love the color.

And the dress is adorable - a perfect jolt of color.

1.5 weeks! Wow!

Love the colour combination, and I totally agree with grey undertones. How chic not to mention cute are you going to be slinging the little one round in outfits like these!

I love this outfit! You're so lucky to have snagged a p-sling on sale :) It is beautiful and will be even more beautiful once your baby is cozy and snug inside!

Super cute! I like the Orla Kiely dress - did you ever imagine that it would still work at almost 9 months pregnant? The sling is perfect and I love the fabric. Color - yes. The last few things I have bought are black with the exception of the bright rasberry humanoid tunic. So ready for spring.

You look so cute and amazingly stylish! I know nothing about slings but I love it and wish you luck over the next weeks.

what a beautiful sling! you picked the best color and i love your idea of using it as a scarf after. (you'll have great memories too each time you wear it)
i'm craving color right now too. i just bought some persimmon shoes and a coral cardigan.
1.5 weeks=exciting!! i'll be thinking of you!

ooh, coral cardigan and persimmon shoes, that sounds so yummy right now.

i know nothing about slings, either. it all seems very easy without a little newborn to handle, so we'll see how it goes!

the orla kiely dress is as comfy as my pjs, i don't know why i didn't wear it earlier.

today i'm wearing my usual blacks, greys, and browns. i need to work on bringing more color into my life again.

Don't ditch what you've got though. I used to wear a lot of scarves (much moreso than jewellry). Don't know why I don't as much now as I still love them. You could add colour to your neutral outfits with scarves, hats, not to mention slings(!). I'm quite keen on headbands right now, but haven't practised enough to feel comfortable wearing them.

the sling is beautiful - it looks wholly unrelated to anything maternal.

Nice sling! I hope you are doing well!
I think I need more color in my life. I'm still stuck in winter's navy, black, and gray.
