some days i feel like being covered up completely, other days i'm wearing shorts. either way, i can never figure out how to stay cool when it gets hot and humid.
That first dress is $2,000. That is insane. I noticed it on the CoC site too because of the pretty blue color, but my jaw dropped when I saw the price. There are no words...
I haven't really figured out how to stay cool in the humidity either. If you figure out how, let me know!! It gets awfully humid here in the midwest, which I hate. Generally I just wear shorts and a loose top when I don't care what I look like and it's smothering outside. Or dresses and skirts seem to help a lot in light linen fabrics. I'm sure I'll be taking many trips to the lake this summer!
to stay cool--i love me some ermie! also, def linen, gauze, flax, silk. and i really appreciate things that stay away from the body. good luck with the chill down.
also, i should've commented below--but, here i am. you have such beautiful children! lucky lucky you. this is not to say that kids aren't tough, but i think that these little people in your image and under your influence..that's kind of serious and amazing.
jenny and joyce-- i know, i didn't even want to mention the price of that dress, it makes my heart hurt. no matter how hard i think, i can't figure out how that price could be justified by anyone!!
jennifer, anna, and catherine--nothing worse than clothing sticking to you, right? linen is probably a good bet. i'm a little iffy on silk unless it's very lightweight and dries quickly.
i also have a patagonia houdidni rain jacket that packs into its pocket and is super lightweight and breathable. another problem with humid places is that there's usually rain no matter how sunny it looks in the morning!

in heat & humidity, i think choice of fabric can help a lot. cotton and linen, anything gauzy, are the best.
