love the opening ceremony and lyell coats! you can never have too many coats. it's something i don't feel bad buying because they always get so much use.
maybe it's because i grew up in southern california, but i always had coat-envy. now that i live in new england, i've discovered that it really doesn't matter what you wear as long as you have a great coat and a beautiful pair of boots.
i'm a little shocked by how many coats i own. i didn't even post four others (two ben sherman parkas, an emporio armani wool coat, and my newish a.p.c. black jacket). i love them all, but at a certain point, they become a little redundant. if i ever downsize, you all will have first dibs :)
I think I actually found someone who has more coats than me! I don't feel half as guilty anymore and - I want to buy more coats...I would if I had the room for them. I love the martin grant one...but all are lovely.
Great coat collection, I think the lyell one really reflects your taste the most. amazing that you can pull off the Marni, too. I still haven't figured how to put together the trench style but you do it very well. I think each piece is special in its own way, you shouldn't downsize, I could imagine you missing any one of them, each is a jewel.
thanks for all the comments! i think the lyell peacoat is my favorite, but the cut is so narrow at the shoulders that it's hard to layer underneath. i might have to save it for 40-60 degree weather.
it's so hard for me to avert my eyes every time i see another beautiful coat, but i think i have enough now to last me a lifetime...
that's an unbelievable collection. being an aussie girl in a new (cold) country i have the worst selection of coats ever. i'd be happy to take one or two off your hands if you get sick of them! love the shortsleeve flare coat, i mean it is fall '06, are you sure you want it still? ;-)

it's true, fall 06 was a long time ago, but i'm not sure i've worn it enough times to warrant the cost!
hmmm, name your price:-)
