makie for grown ups

i love makie for babies, but their simple collection for women is tempting me, too. so effortless and understated. it would be nice to have a few pieces to wear to offset the bright colors that i also crave. plus, the prices aren't too bad.

the shop at 109 Thompson Street, nyc, is definitely worth a visit if you're in the neighborhood.

I've never even seen their store. Now I am curious...

I tried on a few of their pieces at a store in connecticut and was impressed, especially for the price point. effortless and understated are perfect words to describe the line - exactly what i hope to wear as spring arrives.

I like your sense of style Erica!
I'd not heard of Makie before. Thanks for the post.

This is off the subject- but I was reading your other blog, Future Perfect, and was incredibly moved by the story of your son's birth.

You can write girl!

the shop is tiny and adorable, well worth a visit, especially for baby gifts.

once upon a time i would have thought the clothing expensive, but considering the high price points of most things japanese, makie is pretty reasonable. glad to hear the collection is lovely in person, leanne!

ist't it strange how your perception of expense changes over the years?
