tom scott cardigan...spring forward

this cardigan is made for movement. the color looks forward to spring while simultaneously shaking the winter blues away.

other favorite tom scott pieces here, here, and here. (those old impulse/totokaelo blog photos make me wish i could find more pre-2008 images)

jenny gordy will be guest blogging for lucky next week (february 8-12). and look, she mentioned my blog!

that sweater is lovely and unique (but not too much).

in case you didn't know about these photos - here is a link to totokaelo/impulse's photosteam starting (or ending) in may of 07. when did they start blogging?

I'm still on jeans: apparently Topshop Baxter skinnies are good (Emanuelle Alt wears them) but on me they're too big at the waist and unflattering on the leg. Did you try the Acne Hex's?

I love your colour combo - I was in the Chloe shop yesterday and they had exactly those colours merchandised together - so good. and the Lucky mention whoo!

lovely.
it is a brain-teaser, that one.

re. your earlier, or rather older posts about jeans - my 2 cents: men's 501 levis. $30-$35 and the design is eternal.

The wings of the sweater were such a surprise after seeing the first photo where it just looked like a regular button down cardigan. The color is great--good to inject some red into the winter cold! Very cool that Jenny mentioned you in her guest blog spot--I agree that you have impeccable taste and I have certainly learned a lot about clothing and different designers since I started reading your blog! Re: "up and down town's" comment on the 501 Levis--I second. I always forget how great they are, but I used to live in them in college and I don't think that means they need to stay stuck in the 1990s. ;-) All the best to you!!

that cardigan! amazing.
also, i don't think i've ever mentioned just how much i love your glasses. i've been in the market for a new pair for YEARS and have tried on several clear styles with no luck. yours suit you so well.

love your blog. love the cardigan. and loved impulse images/styling as well. the new format is just not the same. and what jeans are those?

the new Acne Hex wet black are great. I have my eye on them. And a friend of mine just bought the Levi's men's "the skinny", they are great for simple clean dark.

That should have read "Acne Kex wet black" not the Hex, those are the straight leg, i believe.

romaine,
thanks for the link, i think the impulse blog started around 2006?

valerie,
the glasses are from ebay, only $30, which is great because my prescription is crazy expensive. good luck finding a pair for yourself!

tracy and jenny,
the jeans are my R13s, which stretch out after about 4 wears. i'll have a post up soon about them.

no Acnes to be found in Boston, i'm so annoyed! i really want to try them on.

is it weird to say i miss the original model, olivia? she made everything look amazing...

Cupcakewalker said...

Hey Erica, I totally agree about the original model - no disrespect the current Totokaelo models, who are gorgeous, but Olivia *did* seem tailor-made to show every single thing for sale to its best advantage.

I love these pictures and the sweater's color is spectacular on you.
