shoes on sale at lambs ear

forget Hunter, Aigle Parcours are the most comfortable rainboots around for anyone who has to walk a lot in the rain, slush, and mud.
rachel comey nisou sandals for summer. these have been around for a while, but they've been marked down to $170 and would look equally nice with dressy and casual outfits.

Thank you for letting me know about the rain boots! I still haven't bought a pair....think these might be the ticket (in brown). :)

eliza jane, you may want to ask lambsear about sizing. i bought mine ages ago from a now defunct site, and their US size equivalents were way off.

they may be heavier than hunters, but the cushioning makes them incredibly comfortable. i wear mine with heavy wool socks instead of snow boots (they're about a 1/2 size too big on me otherwise).

joyce, the sandals are killing me. i'm trying to find small ways to dress up without compromising comfort, and these look perfect.

Erica, I'm so with you on the Aigle wagon!!!! They are incredible, but people don't seem to know about them. Did you know that they are the original rubber boot? The company was started by an American in France, and the name means "eagle", his homage to his American heritage! If you you-tube making of Aigle boots you can see how they are still made by hand in France.
And a little tip: they are 50% off at Kisan in NYC. They are not available online, but you can either call the store (they ship) or go in person (for those in New York).
